Indian BSF team arrives


KARACHI, Feb 26: A 10-member delegation of the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) led by Deputy Inspector-General of Indian Border Security Force, Heraish Chandra, arrived in Khokhrapar to hold a meeting on the day-to-day security matters along the Pakistan-India border.

This was announced in a statement of the Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) Issued here on Saturday.

It said Deputy Director-General of the Pakistan Rangers (Sindh), Brigadier Taqdees Ahmed, along with other senior officers of Sindh Rangers received the Indian delegation at the border and held a meeting which lasted five hours.

The matters covering smuggling, illegal border crossing, drug trafficking and joint patrolling were main agenda points of the meeting.

The meeting was held in a very cordial and friendly atmosphere and ended with exchange of souvenirs and good wishes for each other. The next meeting will be held after three months in India, the statement said.--APP
