SUKKUR: Four killed in separate accidents

By Our Correspondent

SUKKUR, Feb 26: Four people were killed while three others were injured in three separate accidents on the National and Indus highways in Salehpat, Pano Akil and Kandhkot on Friday night and Saturday morning.

A tractor trolley, on way to Chabbar village, near Salehpat, went out of control and overturned. Consequently, tractor driver Naseer Ahmed and Shaban Mirbahar died on the spot.

In another incident, a labourer, Rahim Dad was crossing the National Highway, near Pano Akil, when a Karachi-bound passenger coach ran over him. He died on the spot while the coach driver fled, taking the vehicle along.

In yet another incident, a pick-up hit a truck coming from the opposite direction on the Indus Highway, at Jam Wahi, near Kandhkot.

Pick-up driver Rahim Bakhsh, 26, son of Altaf Bhangwar, was killed on the spot, while three others, whose names were not ascertained, were injured. They were taken to a local hospital.

The Kandhkot A-section police impounded the truck, while the driver fled.
