BADIN: Man dies in accident

BADIN, Feb 25: A passenger was killed and 25 were injured when a speedy coaster met with an accident near Mataro bus stop on Thursday. The Matli-bound passenger coaster coming from Golarchi went out of control of the driver and fell into a ditch.

As a result, Natho Kolhi died on the spot and 25 passengers, including women and children, received injuries and were shifted to healthcare centres. Those injured included Sawan Chang, Ali Mohammad Arain, Mohammad Ayub Lashari, Ms Rasti, Ibrahim, Sawan Bheel, Mohammad Usman, Ms Meena, Anjam, Kiran, Pooni and Khan Mohammad Magsi.

PROTEST: The brothers and relatives of a murder victim took out a procession and observed a token hunger strike in Tando Ghulam Ali on Thursday in protest against local police for delaying exhumation of the body.

According to the protesters, Ashiq Ali Mughal, Mohammad Hanif and Mohammad Sharif, Ghulam Rasool had been murdered by his wife Sakina and step son Asif some 16 days ago and his body was buried in his house. They said that police had registered a case and arrested some persons but were not interested in exhuming the body for post-mortem.
