KARACHI: New scheme for phone connections


KARACHI, Feb 23: The Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has announced a new scheme "Bahar Package." Through this package people could get telecom facilities at their doorstep by only making a local call.

This was stated by the EVP (Ops) South of the PTCL, Rehmatullah, while inspecting the progress of 'Bahar Package Operation Cell'. He said people could get new telephone connection by making a call to PTCL UAN (Universal Access Number) 111-900-900.

After it is found technically feasible, the PTCL representative will visit the subscriber's resident and after filling of a new telephone connection form, the connection will be provided at the subscriber's residence. The installation fee will be included in the first bill of customer.

The PTCL would provide free telephone sets under the "Bahar package". The PTCL has set a target of 10,000 new telephone connections under this scheme. He further said that the PTCL was trying its level best to provide the latest telecom facilities to its customers while the facilities recently provided by the company i.e. "Muft Telephone Scheme" and "Eid Package" were evidence of its claim. - APP
