KARACHI: Another man falls prey to gang-war

KARACHI, Feb 22: Another man fell victim to the recent spree of killings in Lyari on Tuesday morning. Police said that a transporter Pir Bukhsh, 50, was passing through Bakhra Chowk in Chawkiwara police limits when he was shot at and wounded.

He was rushed to Civil Hospital where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival. The victim was father of Waheed - a member of the Arshad Pappu group, police added.

Two persons were killed earlier in Lyari gang-war on Monday. Alam Khan, 40, owner of a fodder shop was killed near Juna Market. He was stated to be a relative of Ghaffar Zikri, a close associate of Arshad Pappu. Arbab Muhammad, brother of Rehman Dakait's father-in-law, was gunned down in Saeedabad.

KILLED: An eight-year-old boy was killed after being subjected to sodomy in Sohrab Goth on Tuesday. Police said that Asif had been missing since Monday night. His body was found from bushes. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where sources confirmed that the boy was sodomized and strangulated.
