ISLAMABAD, Feb 19: The Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) here on Saturday said a peaceful and durable solution to the Kashmir issue was possible only after India and Pakistan gave full representation to the Kashmiris in the ongoing dialogue process.

In a statement, JKLF Chief Organizer Mohammad Ashiq Bhatti said Jammu and Kashmir was an indivisible unit and the issue could be peacefully resolved only after the Kashmiris were given full representation in all the decisions that might be taken by the two countries on the issue.

About the latest meeting of Indian Foreign Minister Natwar Singh and his Pakistani counterpart Khurshid Mehmood Kasuri, Mr Bhatti said no progress could be made on the ongoing peace process by ignoring the Kashmiris.

India still refuses to accept the held Kashmir as a disputed territory and has also violated the Indus Water Treaty by building Baglihar dam which should be a matter of great concern for the Kashmiris as well as Pakistanis.

India, he said, was still blatantly violating human rights in the held Kashmir and was trying to suppress the freedom struggle there, which, he said, was impossible because the Kashmiris wanted their right to self-determination.
