Relief goods given to nazim Mansehra


PESHAWAR, Feb 19: The World Vision Pakistan and the Sarhad Rural Support Programme (SRSP) on Saturday handed over 21 tons of relief goods amounting to Rs8 million to the Mansehra nazim for distribution among the people affected by rain and snowfall in Mansehra and Battagram districts.

The Nazim, Ahmed Hussain Shah, thanked the NGOs for their contribution for the affected people. The local representative of the NGOs said it was the first instalment and another relief package would be followed for which data was being collected from the affected areas.

The relief goods included 8,000kg flour, 3,000kg sugar, 3,000kg pulses, 4,000kg rice, 3,000kg ghee and 4,000 quilts. They said separate sets of relief items had been prepared for onward distribution in the calamity-hit areas of Mansehra and Battagram. - APP
