Squads for flood-relief tie named

LAHORE, Feb 18: Pakistan-XI will meet Rest-XI in the flood- relief match being held at the Qadhafi Stadium on Monday to raise funds for the victims of tsunami disaster and the Balochistan flood.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced both the teams, and also included the unfit pace man Shoaib Akhtar in the Pakistan-XI.

Chief selector Wasim Bari, however, later clarified that Shoaib was not available after the team had been announced and now he had been excluded. The match will be a 12-a-side match and 11 players will be allowed to field.

TEAMS:

PAKISTAN XI: Taufeeq Umar, Salman Butt, Younis Khan, Shoaib Malik, Asim Kamal, Shahid Afridi, Kamran Akmal, Danish Kaneria, Rao Iftikhar, Mohammad Sami, Yasir Hameed.

REST XI: Imran Farhat, Faisal Athar, Misbahul Haq, Bazid Khan, Faisal Iqbal, Yasir Arafat, Zulqarnain, Tahir Khan, Shahid Nazir, Aamir Bashir, Abdul Rauf, Muhammad Irshad, Mohammad Khalil.
