DADU, Feb 16: A large number of growers of Dadu taluka staged a demonstration in Sita Road on Wednesday to protest against fertilizer dealers for selling fertilizers in black markets.

They were led by Abadgars Association leaders, Mr Mohammad Ali Solangi, Mr Ali Sher Chandio and Mr Ghulam Nabi Chandio. The growers said that the government had fixed Rs460 per bag of the fertilizer but dealers were selling it for Rs600 in Dadu district. They appealed to the Sindh chief minister to ensure availability of fertilizer on fixed government rates. Later, they observed a token hunger strike.

DEMO: A large number of people staged a demonstration outside the Nadra office here on Wednesday for receiving bribe against issuance of computerised national identity cards. They were led by Saleem Jamali, Sohail Ahmed Dawach, Qaim Ali Siyal and Gulsher.
