KARACHI, Feb 16: The director general of the National Accountability Bureau (Sindh), Maj-Gen Haroon Sikandar Pasha, and Sindh Ombudsman Yousuf Jamal have agreed to evolve a joint strategy to raise the level of public awareness in eliminating corruption on Wednesday.

The talks were also aimed at achieving better coordination in the pursuit of common objectives of both the public service institutions and making joint efforts to foster good governance and a corruption-free administration in the province.

The DG NAB and Sindh ombudsman laid emphasis on achieving progress and prosperity and accelerating the pace of development in the country in general and of Sindh in particular.

Mr Yusuf briefed the DG NAB about the working and achievements of his institution. He presented the NAB official with a copy of the latest annual report along with a copy of the restructuring and expansion plan of the ombudsman's organization being implemented under the guidance of the governor Sindh.

Maj-Gen Sikandar appreciated efforts of the Sindh ombudsman in dispensing inexpensive administrative justice and ensuring speedy rectification of the grievances of people. -APP
