OKARA, Feb 14: Two PML-N groups fell out with each other during a meeting here on Monday convened by the party's provincial leadership for the constitution of new bodies.

The groups were led by PML-N district president Mian Muhammad Zaman and former MC chairman Mian Muhammad Munir. Reports said a three-member team, comprising MNAs Pervaiz Malik, Rana Tanvir Ahmad Khan and former federal minister Ghulam Dastgir Khan, arrived here at the residence of Mian Muhammad Zaman where about 100 workers of both the groups were present.

During the course of proceedings, workers from both the groups started quarrelling over some electoral dispute. However, Ghulam Dastgir Khan urged them to follow the party leadership and forge unity in their ranks. The meeting ended without taking any decision.

LIQUOR: Okara police on Monday claimed to have recovered liquor from a car (IDL-166) and arrested Amanat Ali and Safdar Ali.
