HYDERABAD, Feb 14: An inter-departmental English debate competition on "We lost what we inherited from forefathers" was held at the University of Sindh on Monday.
The Bureau of Students Tutorial, Guidance/Counselling Service and Co-curricular Activities (STAGS) organized the competition in connection with the Allama Iqbal shield debate.
Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor Mazharul Haq Siddiqui urged the youth to follow good traditions of their forefathers. He appreciated the quality of debate. Prof (Dr) Kazi Khadim Hussain, adviser of the bureau, announced that a debate competition in Urdu would be held on Feb 24 and in Sindhi on Feb 25.
EXAM FORMS: The additional controller of examinations, Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences, on Monday announced that the last date for submitting forms for second professional BDS examinations of 2005 had been fixed at March 1.
The examination forms can be submitted with a late fee of Rs200 up to March 8. The additional controller of examinations also announced that MCQ examinations of first professional MBBS (part-II), 2005, of the university and its affiliated colleges would start from Feb 28.
MOVE-OVER CASES: The departmental promotion committee, education, at a meeting held here on Saturday approved 60 move-over cases of non-gazetted employees. The meeting, presided over by DCO Mohammad Hussain Syed, also approved a summary for compulsory primary education.
