System being reformed for speedy justice: Aziz

ISLAMABAD, Feb 11: Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz has said that the government is committed to providing people quick access to justice by reforming and revamping the legal system.

Speaking at an inter-provincial meeting here on Friday which he presided, the prime minister highlighted the importance of proposed amendments to the civil, criminal and commercial laws to help minimize delays and reduce pendency.

The meeting was attended, among others, by ministers for law, interior, information and broadcasting, Kashmir affairs, housing and works and senior officials of concerned departments.
