3-day rain, snowfall forecast

ISLAMABAD, Feb 9: The current spell of rains and snowfall in several parts of the country would continue in the next two to three days, said the Pakistan Meteorological Department.
A report issued here on Wednesday said torrential rains continued in Islamabad for the sixth consecutive day, paralysing the daily life.
The spell of snowfall in Murree and several other hilly areas of the country entered into the seventh consecutive day on Wednesday. So far, Murree and Galliyat received four and a half feet of snow. In the current winter, Murree received a total of 12.5 feet snow.
The report said over six feet of snowfall was reported in Kalam, Malam Jabba, Kaghan and Naran.
It said Islamabad had received 52 millimetre rain, Rawalpindi 50mm, Kotli and Balakot 48mm, Abbottabad 36mm, Saidu Sharif 32mm; Peshawar, Sibbi and Panjgore 25mm; Attock, Chitral, Dir, Khuzdar and Kallat 23mm; Risalpur 22mm, Multan 21mm, Jhelum Quetta 17mm, Bhawalnagar 15 mm, Bhawalpur 11mm, Lahore 10mm, Sialkot 21mm, Gujranwala Faisalabad 5mm, Kamra 23mm, Mianwali 13mm, Sarghada17mm, and Jacobabad 5mm.
There are also reports of heavy snowfall on the hills in Murree, Galliyat, Northern Areas and Kashmir.
Kaghan, Kunch and Siran Valleys of Mansehra district received widespread rain and snowfall resulting in the closure of Kaghan road.
