HYDERABAD, Feb 8: The Sindh Professors and Lecturers Association has criticized non-payment of invigilation fee to lecturers of different colleges of Hyderabad by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education.

At its meeting here on Tuesday, the SPLA said the lecturers of the Government Zubairi Girls College had not been paid the fee for the past five years.

The meeting held at the Government Science College was presided over by Prof Khadim Khoso. The meeting was told that chairman and controller of the BISE had been approached but they were helpless before the corrupt officials of the board.

The meeting pointed out that bills of TA/DA, copy assessment and invigilation fees were pending for a long time. The meeting appealed to the Sindh governor to ensure payment of the fee to teachers and a high-powered committee should be formed to ascertain the facts.

The meeting warned that if lecturers and teachers were not paid their invigilation fee they would boycott the conduct of examinations.

The meeting was attended by Prof Laiq Bhutto, Prof Shahid Siraj, Prof Mehrun Nisa Larik andProf Nizamuddin.
