Eight die in bus crash near Sargodha

SARGODHA, Jan 30: Eight passengers were killed while 12 others suffered injuries on Sunday night in an accident on the Sargodha-Sillanwal Road near Chak 122-NB, some 24kms from here.

A Sargodha-bound bus crashed into a Sillanwali-bound wagon coming from the opposite direction. Five passengers - Javed Iqbal, Mukhtar and Sajjad of Sillanwali, Khizar Hayat of Chak 122-NB and wagon driver Ashraf of Chak 127-NB died on the spot.

Three of the injured passengers died in hospital. Some of the injured shifted to hospital were identified as Waqar Abbas, his daughters Rehana and Mahjabeen of Sillanwali, Bilal Qaiser of Chak 180-NB, Safia Bibi, Nasreen and Mirza Iqbal of Sillanwali.
