No operation planned, Balochistan cabinet told

QUETTA, Jan 29: Members of the Balochistan cabinet were given a briefing at the corps headquarters on the Sui situation. Governor Owais Ahmed Ghani, Chief Minister Jam Yousuf and Corps Commander Lt-Gen Hamid Rab Nawaz also attended the briefing.

An ISPR statement issued here on Saturday said that the briefing focused the deterioration law and order situation after the Sui incident and followed by security measures adopted for the safety of national assets.

The cabinet members were informed about the overall impact of Sui incident.

They were told that law-enforcement agencies were mobilized owing to the prevalent situation in Sui.

The governor and the chief minister on the occasion said that political process was in progress and the Sui incident was also under judicial inquiry.

They assured the cabinet members that no military operation was being launched and security forces, including the army, were moved for the safety of the Sui installations.
