KARACHI, Jan 28: The Chief Controller of Buildings, Brig. A S Nasir has issued some important directives which would be finalized after their complete study and consideration at a meeting of the anamoly committee.

Brig Nasir issued these directives to check violations in construction regulations, including the land-use and to ensure implementation of the related rules and regulations. He has directed that plans for residential houses and bungalows be approved stage-wise and in the first stage, plan for only ground and first floor be approved.

He directed that approval for next floors be granted only after the ground and first floors are constructed and completion plan is submitted. Under the commercialisation policy, the construction of floors would be allowed phase-wise under Schedule-II in consonance with the plot ratio on commercialised road.

Under the CCOB's instructions, constructions along Sharea Faisal were allowed under Comercialisation Policy-2002 and the same will be upgraded as per policy of 2004 and constructions will be allowed as per plot ratio.

These directives have been put forth before the anamoly committee and a final decision for their enforcement will be taken after their consideration by experts.

ILLEGAL STRUCTURE: A demolition squad of Karachi Building Control Authority sealed illegal projects in Shah Faisal and Liaquatabad Towns while a number of illegal constructions were also dismantled.

According to details, the KBCA team sealed illegal shops and a factory on Plot No 5/547-A and 5/532-A in Liaquatabad Town. In Shah Faisal Town, the illegal project of Airport Villas on survey numbers 85, 92 and 93 in Deh Drigh Road, Wireless Gate was sealed.

The owners were carrying out booking in the project without approval of NOC for advertisement and sale. People have been advised not to enter into any deal in this project.

In Liaquatabad Town, on Plot No K-10, C-1 area, the walls of illegally constructed 4th floor were demolished while an illegal marriage hall on Plot No B-9 and B-12, Block-1, Scheme-36, Gulistan-e- Jauhar was dismantled.

The KBCA team also demolished illegal constructions raised on compulsory open space and partition walls of illegal Sheri Manzil, on Plot No 73 and 84 in Blocks 7 and 8, C P Berar. -APP
