ISLAMABAD, Jan 27: Japanese Ambassador Nabuaki Tanaka and the country representative of National Democratic Institute, Mary Cummins separately called on former Speaker of the National Assembly , Syed Fakhar Imam and former federal minister Syeda Abida Hussain at their residence here on Thursday.

They discussed Balochistan crisis and the prevailing political situation. Others present at the meeting included former federal minister Syed Iftikhar Hussain Gilani, Wazir Ahmed Jogezai former deputy speaker and Col (retired) Ghulam Sarwar Cheema.

The leaders of the newly-formed Independent Democratic Group (IDP) are actively engaged in meetings and consultations with different personalities after the announcement of their group. -PPI
