FAISALABAD, Jan 25: Two brothers were crushed to death by a speeding truck on Jhang Road here on Tuesday. Police said the truck hit the car of Tanvir and his brother Naseer of Thikriwala on Jhang Road.

Both the brothers sustained serious head and chest injuries and died on way to hospital. Police have registered a case against the absconding driver.

SHOT DEAD: A youth was gunned down by four people over a minor issue in Chak 280 GB in the area of Jaranwala police station on Monday night. Police said Muzammil Husain exchanged hot words with accused Naeem and Wasim over a petty issue during a marriage ceremony.

Naeem and his three accomplices opened fire on Muzammil killing him on the spot. Police have registered a murder case against Naeem, Wasim, Ghulam Muhammad and Muhammad Ali without any arrest.

CASE REGISTERED: Ghulam Muhammadabad police have registered a case against three policemen, including an assistant sub-inspector, for trespassing and keeping a youth in illegal confinement here on Tuesday.

It is learnt that councillor Muhammad Mubashar moved the court of additional district and sessions judge claiming that a police party headed by ASI Tufail raided his house and took his son Irfan to police station to pressurize him for getting bribe.

The court ordered registration of case against ASI Tufail and constables Rasool and Tariq.
