PCB policies damaging cricket: DCAH official
By Bureau Report
HYDERABAD, Jan 24: Chief Patron of District Cricket Association Hyderabad (DCAH) Dr Makhdoom Rafiquz Zaman has urged Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to review its controversial decisions
regarding district and city cricket bodies and take these associations into confidence for important decisions.
Speaking to a delegation of DCAH led by association's patron, Hamid M.Nasir in his office e on Monday he said it was really disappointing that Hyderabad district was being neglected by PCB in regional cricket affairs of Hyderabad region.
He further said that this attitude on the part of PCB is causing sense of deprivation among various district cricket associations and appreciated efforts of suspended secretary of DCAH Faheem Baig in promotion of cricket and stressed the need for his immediate reinstatement because he had been condemned unheard.
DCAH's patron Hamid M.Nasir demanded formation of council of the board comprising district and city cricket associations. He believed that interference of by PCB officials into affairs of cricket associations of Hyderabad region was damaging promotion of cricket and depriving deserving players of the region of their due rights.
He claimed that in absence of PCB's constitution such decision had no value in the eyes of law whereas board officials working on ad-hoc basis continued to take arbitrary decisions against elected representatives of cricket associations on honorary basis.
