ISLAMABAD, Jan 24: Information Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, expressing government's resolve to ensure safety of gas installation in Sui area, said the political process for solving Balochistan problems would continue.

In an interview with the Voice of America, he said the security arrangements had been tightened around the gas installations but no operation was under way in the area.

Some media reports in this regard were not based on facts, the minister said. In reply to a question, he said Baloch leaders also wanted resolution of their problems through political means, and pointed out that a parliamentary committee was already in place. -APP
