PML to 'clean sweep' LG polls

LAHORE, Jan 23: Punjab Communications and Works Minister Chaudhry Zaheeruddin Khan has said the PML would clean sweep the forthcoming local government election.

Exhorting workers and leaders calling on him during the Eid holidays the minister, who is also the secretary general of the Punjab PML, said the party had emerged as a big political force due to positive steps taken by the chief minister for the welfare of the people and giving the workers their due place in the party.

He said the government had decided to make development schemes in consultation with the party workers in future. Mr Khan said the leaders and workers of other parties had joined the PML because of its growing popularity due to its democratic policies.
