LAHORE, Jan 19: The costliest bull ever to be offered for sale for sacrifice anywhere in the country is on display near the Saddar Bazaar here and people are paying Rs10 each to watch it.

The rare animal of Australian breed is six feet nine inches long and six feet high and weighs over 40 maund. The beautiful and healthy bull has been decorated and is being kept in a canopy in the sacrificial animals market near the Saddar Bazaar.

A banner announcing the presence of the bull has been displayed outside the canopy and the men of the owners are selling tickets for watching it at the entry. The costly bull raised on special fodder and milk belongs to Mumtaz Khan Baloch and Qadar Bakhsh of Jhang.

The owners have priced the exceptionally healthy bull at Rs600,000, the highest price ever demanded for a sacrificial animal in the country till date. They claim to have received an offer of over Rs400,000 for it but they are insisting on their price.

MASTER PLAN: The government has prepared a master plan for the protection and preservation of historic buildings and removal of encroachments from there. Punjab Tourism Minister Mian Muhammad Aslam Iqbal said this during a visit to the historic Chhoti Chauburji in Nawankot here along with the Director of Archeology.

The minister said that those encroaching on the historical buildings or accommodating drug addicts there would not only be ejected but punished as well. He said that his department would make arrangements for tours of historic buildings and hold seminars on places of historic importance in the province for the information of the general public.
