JTI, IJT protest against changes in curriculum

By Our Correspondent

QUETTA, Jan 13: Student wings of the JUI-F and the Jamaat-i-Islami on Thursday staged demonstrations to protest against changes in curriculum and inclusion of the Aga Khan board's teaching programme in the education policy.

Activists of the Jamiat Tulaba-i-Islam and the Islami Jamiat-i-Tulba gathered in front of the local press club and vowed that they would resist efforts to undermine Islamic ideology.

MNA Maulana Noor Mohammad, a senior leader of the MMA, criticized deletion of Islamic verses from curriculum and omission of the religion column from passports and said that the alliance would continue to struggle for the supremacy of parliament and strive to protect people's rights.
