PESHAWAR: Movement of cattle banned


PESHAWAR, Jan 13: Peshawar District, Nazim Azam Afridi has banned the movement of cattle from the limits of the City District, Peshawar.

In a statement issued here on Thursday, the Nazim said that the permits issued earlier from the federal and provincial governments would be considered as null and void.

He also issued instructions to all the four town nazims and DCO Peshawar to give a proper place to the people of district Peshawar where they can easily buy the sacrificial animals and create no traffic jam or hurdles.

In this regard, different delegations of district Peshawar met the Nazim on whose plea the old permits issued by the provincial and federal governments have been cancelled.

Any person found violating the order shall be dealt with under section 188 of CRPC, the handout said. This order shall come into force immediately and remain so for a period of ten days. -APP
