PESHAWAR, Jan 13: The Tribal Electric Supply Company disconnected double-source supply [consumers illegally connected to two feeders] of 13 power consumers in the Khyber Agency.
An official press release issued here on Thursday said that action was taken in areas falling under the jurisdiction of 11-KV feeders of Alamgudar, Jamrud, New Bara and Qamber Khel to avoid accidents and over-loading of its network.
The press release identified the culprits as Haji Sobat Shah, Abdul Aziz, Zar Gul, Sial Khan, Hukam Khan, Jehanzeb, Khial Bat, Haji Shoukat, Moeen Khan, Mina Gul, Islam Gul, Haji Habib Gul and Zar Noor.
"Tesco staff has cut-off the conductors and other relevant material with cooperation of the political administration of the agency," contained the press release.
The operation against people involved in the illegal practice, contained the press release, would continue till the disconnection of 'all such illegal extensions' which, added the press release, not only caused threat to the lives of Wapda's field staff all the more it had resulted in over loading making difficulties for the company to ensure unhindered supply of power.
The company, the press release said, lost four experienced linemen over the past few years because of power consumers drawing power from more than one feeders.
