LAHORE, Jan 9: PML President Chaudhry Shujaat Husain said here on Sunday the party's mass contact campaign would further be made effective so as to accelerate the pace of its re-organization.

He urged the provincial leadership of the PML to give priority to the proposals and suggestions by the party workers in the re-organization process.

Chaudhry Shujaat was presiding over a party meeting here, which was also attended by Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi, PML Secretary General Chaudhry Zaheeruddin, Senior Vice-president Mian Amer Mehmood and others.

He said the federal and the provincial governments were implementing public welfare programmes in accordance with the party manifesto. He said joining of the PML by the office-bearers and members of other political parties bore testimony to the fact that the reform agenda of the government had sped up socio-economic development.

The chief minister said due representation was given to all sections of society in the re-organizing process. The party was being re-organized at every level in the country and it was fully capable of facing every challenge.
