ISLAMABAD, Jan 8: Passport committee will present its report to Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz within a few days, Minister for State and Frontier Regions and member of the passport committee Sardar Yar Mohammad Rind said on Saturday.

The committee wants to resolve the issue of insertion of religious column in the passport while keeping in view the current environment, he told a foreign radio service.

The advice of provinces and opinion of people would be sought before finalizing the report, he said.

The committee on Friday deliberated on all aspects of the issue and a consensus had 'almost' been developed to add religious column in passports, he added.-APP
