Tahir returns from Muscat

LAHORE, Jan 6: Head coach of the Pakistan junior hockey team, Tahir Zaman has returned home after conducting Olympic Solidarity hockey coaching course in Muscat, Oman.

Tahir said on Thursday the 8-day course held in the last week of December was attended by 25 local coaches who were taught basics, advance and high performance of hockey.

Muscat is on the list of International Hockey Federation's those countries which are developed in hockey and are striving to promote it through a solid activity plans, said Tahir, FIH certified coach.

Tahir who recently attended FIH high performance coaches course in Lahore during the Champions Trophy was of the view that FIH's efforts were in right direction to make hockey a global sport and it has started a number of development programmes for the grooming of qualified coaches throughout the world. -APP
