ISLAMABAD, Jan 4: Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz should invest his own money in Pakistan to win confidence of local and foreign investors. This was stated by PML-N Central Information Secretary Mohammad Siddiqul Farooque in a statement issued here on Tuesday.

The PML-N leader said if the economic climate in the country was really conducive for investment, the prime minister should set an example by bringing his capital lying in foreign banks and investing it in Pakistan.

He was of the view that despite repeated government claims of having created conducive business atmosphere, the investors continued to have second thoughts before investing in Pakistan, fearing poor law and order situation besides other reasons.

Mr Farooque also contested Mr Aziz's claim that under the present regime the begging bowl had been broken. "The begging bowl, which was smaller, is now much bigger collecting approximately $9 billion during the last five years," he added.
