PESHAWAR: Union to hold seminar against privatization

PESHAWAR, Jan 3: The Pakistan Wapda Hydro-Electric Central Labour Union has decided to hold an anti-privatization seminar at Nishtar Hall on Wednesday.

According to a release, the speaker would speak on the negative impact of privatization on national economy.

The privatization of profit-earning organizations like Wapda, PTCL, commercial banks and public sector industrial units had caused a great loss to the national economy.

Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party Chairman Mehmood Khan Achekzai, National Awami Party Secretary General Abdul Latif Afridi, Awami National Party leader Ghulam Ahmed Bilour, Mazdoor Kisan Party chief Afzal Khamoosh, People Party Parliamentarians' Abdul Akbar Khan, Awami National Party's Afrasiab Khattak and others would speak on the issue.
