PCB panel reviewing constitution

ISLAMABAD, Jan 1: Pakistan Cricket Board, which is in the process of reviewing its present constitution, has set up a committee for this purpose.

Mr.Justice Karamat Nazir Bhandari is the chairman of the committee which also includes Makhdoom Ali Khan, Attorney General of Pakistan and Zahid Hamid, Minister of State for Defence.

The committee had issued a questionnaire soliciting the viewpoint of the public and renowned cricket personalities.The questionnaire was responded to by a cross section of the general public and their suggestions are being sifted and examined, it was officially stated.

The chairman, Constitution Committee of the PCB, has also held detailed meetings with former Test cricketers to elicit their viewpoint.

The ex-cricketers gave an in-depth analysis of the domestic cricket structure and expressed their viewpoint on various other constitutional issues. The secretary LCCA, who was also given a hearing, presented the viewpoint of the associations.

The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, in which several ex-Test cricketers and representatives of the associations are expected to give their viewpoint.-APP
