LARKANA, Jan 1: The People's Party Parliamentarians has demanded holding of a probe into Qambar killings by a judge of the Sindh High Court. At district body's meeting here on Friday , the party criticized the government for adopting a divide and rule policy.

The district president of the PPP, Mr Ayaz Soomro, presided over the meeting.

It said that demarcation of districts was aimed at creating gulf between people and pitching brother against brother.

In a resolution, the meeting demanded that a high court judge be appointed to conduct a judicial inquiry into the Qambar incident.

The resolution demanded that compensation for dead might be raised from Rs200,000 to Rs1 million each and treatment amount for injured should be Rs200,000.

The meeting also decided to participate in the next local bodies election.

CHILDREN: The Khidmat-i-masoom Trust reunited 623 missing children with their parents in 2004.

Of them 363 were girls and 260 boys.
