KARACHI: IT advisory board set up

KARACHI, Dec 31: A Sindh Information Technology Advisory Board (SITAB) has been established, which will be headed by Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad Khan as its chairman , while the provincial Information Technology Minister Syed Mustafa Kamal will be the co-chairman of the board.

The private sector members of the SITAB consist of Ziaullah Khan of Operation Badar, Rizwan Kehar, Chief Executive of Air Systems, Arif Siddiqui, head of IT, Standard Chartered Bank, Atiqur Rehman of Ecommerce Gateway, Siraj Ahmed Khan, ex-regional manager of Pakistan Software Export Board, Zubair A. Shaikh of National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences, Mohammad Owais, CEO of Selling Best Systems, Tariq Jaffar, CEO of Business Computing International.

A representative each from NED University of Engineering and Technology and Mehran University of Engineering and Technology Jamshoro will also be on the Board. The other three public sector members of the SITAB are additional chief secretary (Planning and Development) Sindh, Secretary of IT and secretary of finance. The board may co-opt any other members, it was further pointed out. -APP
