NOWSHERA, Dec 30: Two children were killed and four sustained injuries when a hand-grenade they were playing with exploded at Sheikhi village in Cherat near here on Thursday. Condition of two injured children was stated to be critical.
Some children were playing on the dry bed of a watercourse near their Sheikhi village. They had also lit fire to keep themselves warm. A child, Masood Khan, produced a hand-grenade and children started playing with.
Suddenly, the device went off with a bang, killing two children on the spot, while four received injuries. The victims have been identified as Masood Khan and Ajmir Khan.
