KARACHI, Dec 24: The Sindh government has constituted a committee to decide modalities of the handing over of the St Joseph and St Patrick's colleges to the Catholic Education Board.

DCO Karachi will act as chairman, while additional secretary (budget) finance and cooperation department; additional secretary (higher education); EDO higher education (CDGK), EDO Works and Services (CDGK) and district officer colleges will be the members.

The committee would decide modalities of the handing over of the two colleges and terms and conditions in respect of government assets, including furniture and equipment etc., cash-in-hand and in bank, return of fee charged/collected from newly-admitted students and prepare an inventory of the moveable and immoveable items/property available in the colleges, in accordance with the terms and conditions set by the provincial cabinet in its meetings of August 21,2001 and August 28, 2004, regarding re-transfer/de-nationalization of educational institutions.

The committee would submit a report to the provincial government for an obtaining approval within three weeks. -PPI
