LAHORE, Dec 22: The PML-N leaders said here on Wednesday that they would go ahead with their struggle for democracy, irrespective of the sacrifices they may have to render for the purpose.
At a reception organized by MNA Pervaiz Malik, speakers said that the party was fully behind Mian Nawaz Sharif and would work according to his instructions. They also reiterated in categorical terms that there was no possibility of any compromise between the PML-N and Gen Musharraf.
The speakers included former president Rafiq Tarar, provincial chief organizer Sirdar Zulfikar Ali Khosa, MNAs Khwaja Saad Rafiq, Pervaiz Malik, Mr Sharif's spokesman Zaeem Qadri, deputy opposition leader in the Punjab Assembly Rana Sanaullah Khan, Inamullah Khan Niazi, Rana Tanveer Husain, Imdad Chandio and Khwaja Ahmed Hassan.
They said no turncoat would be accepted back in the party. They believed that as a result of reorganization the party would emerge stronger and be in a position to face the challenges of times ahead. In a message read by Mr Zaeem Qadri, Mr Sharif praised the services of his party leaders and workers.
