PML begins mass contact movement

By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, Dec 19: The Pakistan Muslim League has started its mass contact drive in Sindh with a youth convention, and this will be followed by a public contact drive at the tehsil level.

This was stated by the PML Secretary General, Mushahid Hussain, who was addressing the PML youth convention named "Strong president, stable Pakistan" held the other day in Gulshan-i-Iqbal.

He said the PML youth wing had entered the field, adding the large participation by people in the moot proved that like other parts in the country, the people of Karachi also favoured implementation of Gen Pervez Musharraf's policies and consider his leadership inevitable for Pakistan.

Mr Hussain said that he would be visiting the province soon to establish contacts with public at the tehsil level, adding that restoration of prestige of party workers would be his top priority.

Senator Nisar Memon said discipline shown at the convention proved that the party was fully organized. He said striving for the country's stability was no less than Jihad. Others who addressed the conventions included Mir Naseer Khan Mengal, Ali Adil Shaikh, Iqbal Dar, Sardar Mohammed Yusuf.
