Quality postal services urged

KARACHI, Dec 19: Federal Communication Minister Shamim Siddiqui has said that postal services in a changed scenario of stiff competition demands the qualities of a very high order in postal officers , such as a sense of discipline, loyalty, selfless devotion to duty, courtesy, endurance and high level of professionalism.

The minister stated this while addressing postal officers in the office of Sindh Postmaster General. According to a news release issued here on Sunday, the federal minister said that postal organization was nothing at all but reflection of postal workers and officers.

He said: "The postal organization is that whatever postal officers make and nothing more. The post is your belief in yourself, your dream of what you want the post to be," he remarked.

The minister said that there was a great potential and scope for growth of postal services. He hoped that postal officers/ workers would leave no stone unturned in making post a most prestigious organization. -APP
