KARACHI: Judgment in PS blast case on 22nd


KARACHI, Dec 18: Arsahd Noor Khan, judge, Anti-Terrorism Court on Saturday reserved orders in Orangi Police Station blast against two accused. Zeeshan and Zafar Ikram face trial before the court.

According to the prosecution, Zeeshan entered Orangi PS on June 13. He was challenged by the police guard on duty on which he ran outside and in the process, a bomb went off.

Zeeshan was arrested by the police and by the people in an injured condition. During investigations, he named other co-accused.

Niamat Ali Randhawa, Special Public Prosecutor (SPP) led evidence against the accused and in his final arguments prayed to the court to award maximum punishment to them.

The defence counsel denied the charges and said that if it was a suicide bombing case as alleged by the prosecution, the accused must have been killed.The defence side pleaded for acquittal of the accused.

The trial court reserved the judgment for Dec 22.-APP
