GUJRANWALA, Dec 17: An expatriate and an eyewitness to a double murder case were kidnapped by their rivals on the crowded Gondlanwala Chowk on the GT Road on Friday.

Reports said Ayesha Perveen, the sister-in-law of complainant Muhammad Ayub of Sharif Farm (Rahwali), was killed a year ago by some people. A case was registered against Zafar Iqbal alias Goga, Atif and Yamin Butt.

Tariq Butt, who was pursuing the murder case, was also killed by the three after 21 days of the previous incident. This time Cantonment police registered a case against the suspects.

Malik Muhammad Aslam, who had recently returned form the US, was pursuing the murder of Ayesha Perveen and Tariq Butt while Muhammad Mansha was an eyewitness to the incidents.

They were on their way to Gondlanwala Chowk from Trust Plaza by a car when they were kidnapped by their rivals. Kotwali police have registered a case against the suspects and are investigating. Meanwhile, the complainant has urged the police to immediately arrest the kidnappers who, otherwise, may kill the expatriate and the eyewitness.
