PESHAWAR: Book fair opens at medical college

By Our Correspondent

PESHAWAR, Dec 13: Students showed keen interest in books and journals and educational material at a fair organized by the Study Aid Project (SAP) at the Khyber Medical College. The three-day fair opened on Monday.

Books, computer accessories, medical equipment and other material relating to education are on offer at reduced rates. Khyber Medical College (KMC) Principal Dr Khalid Attaullah Mufti inaugurated the fair.

Dr Mufti asked students to concentrate on their studies and said the government would encourage all events and programmes aimed at promoting academic activities.

Samiullah, patron of the SAP, said that book fairs had become an annual feature of the organization. "We offer Islamic books and CDs, which contain write-ups and speeches of scholars.

This would help the student to lead their lives in line with the injunctions of Islam," he said. Mr Asadullah, of the SAP, said: "We offer 10 to 50 per cent discount on books to students."
