LAHORE, Dec 10: Peace could not prevail anywhere in the world without justice, says Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaaf chairman Imran Khan.
He told a delegation of Pen for Peace, which called on him on Friday and exchanged views on national and international peace issues, that justice must prevail about everything in the world.
According to a news release, the delegation comprising Anwar Hashmi, Itrat Bashir and Maryam Yunus discussed matters pertaining to Indo-Pakistan relations, especially Kashmir, and Iraq, Palestine and Afghanistan.
Commenting on the Indo-Pakistan relations, Mr Khan stressed the need for peace in the subcontinent. He said fair solution to the Kashmir dispute would pave the way for peace in the region. It was imperative that the Kashmiri leadership was included in the dialogue, he added.
He maintained that there was a dire need to uphold national interests and strengthen institutions otherwise Pakistan could not prosper. He stressed the need to clear misconceptions about Pakistan in the West, especially formed in the aftermath of 9/11.
He said the struggle for freedom needed to be defined clearly as many such struggles in various part of the world were being dubbed as terrorist activity. Mr Khan assured his full support to the Pen for Peace delegation and its activities for peace.
