Problems for media

By Our Sports Reporter

LAHORE, Dec 8: Lack of security is creating chaos and causing trouble for the media covering the ongoing Champions Trophy hockey at National Hockey Stadium.

Although press conference room and press enclosure should be accessable only to the media, one could see unauthorized people in huge numbers in both areas.

Not only does the press conference room become congested, people including autograph-seekers and fans create nuisance during the post-match press conferences by mingling among the reporters and sometimes even asking questions, posing as journalists.

Quite a few unauthorised people could also be seen sitting in the press enclosure. For instance, family of a PHF official was among the unauthorized people who watched the Pakistan-India game from the press enclosure thanks to VIP culture.
