SHIKARPUR: Man shoots wife dead

SHIKARPUR, Dec 8: A woman was killed by her husband on the pretext of karo-kari in the Younis Kalhoro village, Khanpur taluka, on Tuesday night. Sughra, 30, was allegedly shot dead by her husband, Ghulam Fareed. Police have registered a case.

KILLED: Fourteen-year-old Mohammad Azeem Marfani, resident of the Andal Marfani village, was run over by a speedy pickup at the Son Wah bus stop on Wednesday.The Garhi Yasin police have arrested driver Mohammad Azam Pathan and registered a case.

JSQM: The chairman of the Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz, Mr Bashir Qureshi, has accused the rulers of creating law and order problem in Sindh. He was speaking at a gathering of activists of the JSQM at the Lakhi Gate Tower chowk on Tuesday. Mr Qureshi said the law and order problem aimed at preventing people from raising a voice against the construction of Kalabagh dam and greater Thal canal projects.

He said that not only the police administration was involved in deteriorating law and order situation but elected representatives and cabinet members were equally responsible for it because they wanted to serve their petty interests through sheltering criminal elements.

The JSQM chairman condemned the kidnapping of two judges and nine other people in Shikarpur district and demanded their early and safe recovery.
