MMA asks people to join fight against excesses

By Our Staff Reporter

RAWALPINDI, Dec 6: A local leader of Muttahida Majlis-i- Amal, Maulana Abdul Jalil Naqshbandi, has praised the sacrifices being offered by Muslims in Palestine, Afghanistan, Chechniya and Iraq.

Speaking at a conference here on Monday, the MMA leader said the aggressors had been shedding the blood of innocent Muslims in different parts of the world. But these sacrifices would not go waste, he added.

He also criticized the civil society, saying that the NGOs raised hollow slogans in support of human rights and worked for the protection animals and plants, but remained silent over the relentless killing of innocent human beings. The MMA leader invited the people to side with the religious parties' alliance in its struggle against aggression, injustice and excesses.

The conference organizer, Pir Sahibzada Syed Mohammad Ibrahim Hamdani, said Islam taught love and brotherhood, adding that Ulema, religious scholars and theologians had always worked for unity among Muslims.
