Communication links between Pakistan, India stressed
KARACHI, Dec 6: Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad Khan has said that exchange of delegations would help boost an environment of confidence between India and Pakistan.
Talking to Shankar Manon, Indian High Commissioner for Pakistan, who called on him at the Governor's House here on Monday, the governor said that attainment of defence capabilities was also for stability of peace and security.
He highlighted the details regarding fast improving law and order situation in Karachi and growing investment and economic activities. The Indian High Commissioner observed that relations between the two countries have witnessed an improvement.
He said both the countries are agree on reopening of Khokhrapar-Monabao rail route and the decision would be implemented as expeditiously as possible. He expressed the desire for direct shipping and transportation services between the two countries.
Meanwhile, talking to a delegation of the Bangladesh Tea Board and Tea Association, the governor said President Musharraf's visit to the brother country had left a positive impact on relations of the two countries. -PPI/APP
