PESHAWAR: Islamia College to set up institutions in other areas

PESHAWAR, Dec 2: Islamia College Peshawar will establish sister institutions in other places of the province.

Addressing the annual meeting of the Alumni Association here on Friday, the principal of the college, Mr Ajmal Khan, said that in the first phase, a school-cum-college would be established in Charsadda district, where many people had donated land for the college. He said that students of the college had always performed well academically.

Former chief secretary and the president of the Alumni Association, Azam Khan, urged philanthropists to donate generously for grant of scholarships to talented needy students and said that resourceful members of the association could play a vital role for the betterment of the college. Former governor Kursheed Ali Khan highlighted the legacy of the Islamia College.
