HYDERABD, Dec 2: A division bench of the Sindh High Court, Hyderabad circuit, on Thursday granted time to petitioner Mohammad Ishaq Qureshi advocate to study the report of the water contamination inquiry committee and present his arguments on December 15.
Mr Qureshi sought time after the report was placed on the court record by Additional Advocate-General of Sindh Masood A. Noorani and a copy of it was provided to him.
He argued that he did not trust the committee and believed that its hairman, Sindh irrigation secretary Ashfaq Memon, would not present findings against officials of his department.
Mr Qureshi said that he needed time to study the report and file objections. The High Court bench comprised Justice Syed Zawar Hussain Jafri and Justice Azizullah Memon.
